It's a quickie // Kid Simius & Young Marco

Kid Simius - real name José Antonio García Soler - comes from Granada in the south of Spain and lives in Berlin. Between the Andalusian sun and Berlin bass culture, he has created a sound that defies categorisation. His music mixes surf melodies, electronic beats and warm guitar riffs to create a world of sound full of euphoria, humour and unpredictable energy.

Kid Simius first became known as a producer and live keyboardist for Marteria/Marsimoto, where he brought his creative signature from rap to electro to rock. But long before that, he was already experimenting with sounds - inspired by DJ Shadow, Ennio Morricone, LCD Soundsystem and Goldie - and building his very own cosmos from samples, guitars and synths.

With his album "Wet Sounds", he opens a new chapter: a fusion of surf'n'bass, in which Spanish harmonies meet Berlin club pressure and the magic of Californian nights - "straight outta Lichtenberg". What once began as a tongue-in-cheek idea has become an independent style, imbued with joy of playing, melancholy and the desire to experiment.

On stage, Kid Simius is a bundle of energy: he prefers guitars, Moog and melodica to laptops. His live shows are organic, spontaneous and always a little unpredictable - somewhere between rave, rock and road trip. Kid Simius lives for the moment, and you can hear that in every beat.

Young Marco is one of Amsterdam's most influential DJs - a selective free spirit who thinks far beyond genre boundaries. His sets sound like carefully told stories: warm kicks, shimmering melodies, unexpected curves between house, leftfield, balearic and a pinch of trance energy. Instead of overkill, he focuses on humour, humanity and timing - the moments when a room breathes collectively. Whether intimate off-locations or festival sunsets: Young Marco always plays for the space, never against it, and remains uncompromisingly unique.
